Rome

All roads lead to Rome For thousands of years tourists, merchants and pilgrims have wended their way towards the town built on seven hills along the banks of the Tiber.

Rome wasn't built in a day Rome, the Eternal City, has just about the richest, fullest history of any town on earth, thanks to its unique position in the world's greatest Empire, its significance as a religious and cultural centre, its turbulent centuries of aristocratic and papal rivalries and upheaval... and along the way acquiring some of the finest art and architecture to survive from the last two thousand years.

When in Rome... Rome is far from being a museum: it's a colourful and vibrant living city which is still an appealing destination even if you're not interested in history. The food, the culture, the ambience and the surrounding scenery make a great holiday even if you don't survey a single ruin or statue.

Venice

The Italian city of Venice (Venezia) is located on the Adriatic Sea in the northeast of the country. The city in Italy is divided into six districts and some of the most famous islands are Lido di Venezia, Murano and Burano. The special thing about your visit of Venice city is that there are no normal roads in the city. There is one long bridge between the mainland and Venice, with only one road and a railway. Every other transportation runs via the famous canals - of which there are about 177 - to and from the more then a hundred islands that makes up Venice. The Canal Grande is one of the widest canals and apart from a touristic gondola you can also opt for a water bus (Vaporetto) to get around in the city.

Florence

Florence has an exceptional artistic heritage that bears marvellous testimony to its centuries-old civilization. Figures of crucial importance for Western art were born in or around the city - artists like Cimabue and Giotto, the fathers of Italian painting; Arnolfo di Cambio and Andrea Pisano, who broke new ground in architecture and sculpture; Brunelleschi, Donatello and Masaccio, who initiated the Renaissance; Lorenzo Ghiberti and the Della Robbia family; Filippo Lippi and Fra Angelico; Botticelli and Paolo Uccello, and the universal geniuses Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
